So today was rather successful! I was able to help recycle and make money off the deal! My philosophy is that there are ways to have a win-win situation, and if everybody wins, how can that be a bad thing?
A couple months ago I had a clothes swap with my friends----another fun party idea (everyone brings clothes and such they don't want---and swap. Everyone leaves happier, with new items and rid of their old ones). After the swap I was left with a large bag of clothing that everyone was going to donate anyway. In the current process of packing, purging and moving I took the bag to Plato's Closet. For those of you whom don't know what that is, it's a re-sale shop where you can donate clothes and get money in exchange.
After handing over my bag of clothes I roamed the store and found a cute necklace-and for no sales tax if exchange in for items. And finally after sitting for an hour, well roaming around the store waiting they called my name. They took 9 items and gave me 25 dollars back-minus the five for the necklace.
So I made $20, 1 necklace and donation later it was an hour gone, but much reward.
It is thinking like this that I encourage you to do. Be creative, make money and help out....what more could you ask for.

Reasoning for starting this blog......
So, it's been a constant reminder in my everyday life that just how much happiness you have in your life is a direct reflection on your actions and priorities.
I have always been frugal, cheap, penny pincher, whatever you may call it.....I love to save and make money.
Ever since my dad gave me babysitting cards at age 12 to hand out to clients, I've been a little entrepreneur. I want to educate others how they can save money, earn more and even live a happier more fulfilling life.
